Ludic activities that helps on the Portuguese Language learning.

Elementary Chess

Student will learn basics strategies and advanced chess plays.

Wildcat Ambassador

Wildcat Ambassadors gives students an opportunity to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and various projects. Wildcat Ambassadors are in charge of planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare.

Lego Serious Play

Lego Serious Play is a program to help students plan, collaborate and problem solve with peers. Students will learn to work together to create projects, using the engineering process along the way. We will concentrate on improving our ability to focus and communicate to solve problems. Parents: this is not a free play session! Students will be expected to complete tasks cooperatively..

Art Club

Art Club gives students the opportunity to learn and apply basic art techniques and process. We will explore a variety of materials including but not limited to chalk, oil pastels, clay, and basic drawing, paint and collage materials.

Eco Club

Eco Club will be exploring nature and learning about native plants and animals through outdoor activities around the ISC campus. The students will be doing gardening and conservation work to make our school greener. They will learn about the importance of protecting our natural environment through hands on activities.

Futsal Sub 9

Elementary Futsal practice for students up to 9 years old. The student’s year of birth must be up to Aug 1, 2009.

Math Support

 Fun activities that help on the Math learning.

Kids Mind Project

Thinking outside the box by playing with brain games, developing self awareness using mindfulness, deepening critical view in storytelling and overcoming linear logic through exercising reasonable thinking are the targets of this the Kids Mind Project, which focuses on the broadening of students aptitudes and interests.

Ler por Prazer

 Students will get to know the classics of Children’s Literature by listening to books and poems read aloud.

Choir

ES choir rehearsals in order to perform at major ISC events and activities.

Drama

The kids will participate of dramatic plays and activities.

Science Club

This club will make science engaging for elementary students through hands-on experiments. We will pick projects together, set up the experiment, and then talk about the results we see. I’m thinking about a 1 project per week format, using an elementary science kit I will purchase in the US.

Earth Rangers

This club is for students who want to be Green Leaders at ISC. The students will help ISC become a greener school by doing special projects that help protect nature. Students will explore nature at ISC and teach others how we can take better care of our planet. All elementary students may sign up for this activity but there will be a selection process afterwards. There is a limit of three students from each grade level who will be selected by a committee to join the club.

Sports Initiation

Sports Initiation is an afterschool activity that focuses on the development of basic motor and sports skills, through a variety of activities.

Reading About Heroes

Each week we will read a book about a real life hero that has changed the world! After reading about heroes we will learn more about a favourite hero and share our learning!

Sign Language

Sign Language (SL) is a natural language that serves as the predominant sign language of deaf communities. SL uses manual communication to convey meaning. This may include the simultaneous use of hand gestures, movement, orientation of the fingers, arms or body, and facial expressions to convey the ideas of an interlocutor.

Robotics

Students will work on two projects during the semester. The main one is a soccer robot and the second one is still TBD. By the end of classes, students will take their projects home.

Gymnastics

At the Gymnastics classes, students work with hand equipment, ropes, bows, tapes in addition to body movement and acrobatic elements.

Judo

Jazz Dance classes involve a diversity of movements and rhythms, looking for technique, social, emotional and cognitive development of students.

Vocal Lessons

Singing lessons and vocal training for kids ages 7 and up. Covers key elements of vocal instruction, from warm-up exercises and breath control to high-range technique, harmonies and more.

Guitar
